About the Event
The Trading Fair is the annual career fair for trading, quant and market-making careers, hosted by Amsterdam Investment Club. On 6 April 2027 we bring together leading trading firms, among them Flow Traders, Maven Securities, All Options, Da Vinci, Optiver and IMC, for one large career event at Volkshotel: company sessions, workshops, a career fair floor, keynotes and drinks, in one day.
Attendance is by application and selection. From 6 January 2027 students apply with their CV and a few details, we select attendees before the Fair, and the company sessions and workshops are decided by the companies themselves. Trading is at the heart of what we do. We focus on developing practical skills in market making, high-frequency trading, quantitative finance, and algorithmic strategies. Through our market making games, quant desk workshops, and real-world simulations, we help members prepare for careers in trading firms and develop the analytical mindset required to excel in fast-paced financial markets.
Founder
A Word from the Founder
That is one quote that always stuck by me. Compounding not only exists in financial markets but also in knowledge and connections. That is what we try to achieve at the Amsterdam Investment Club.
I studied Financial Econometrics at the University of Amsterdam and founded Sophron, the parent of the investment clubs. I always enjoyed investing and financial markets but wanted to share my passion with others.
The goal of the Amsterdam Investment Club is to connect like-minded individuals who share a similar passion. The club is accessible to everyone, from beginners to experts. The club is here to organize events for both sides, to offer something for everyone.
We are currently growing very rapidly and I look forward to meeting all of you at the next event! Thank you for being here.
